Housekeeper/Cleaner

Job Summary

Pulse Medi Care Hospital is looking for dedicated, hardworking, and responsible Housekeeping Staff to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the hospital. The candidate will help ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, corridors, waiting areas, offices, and other hospital premises.
• Maintain cleanliness in washrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Follow hospital cleaning schedules and housekeeping procedures.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, railings, and tables.
• Use cleaning equipment, disinfectants, and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
• Segregate and handle waste according to hospital biomedical waste management policies and assigned responsibilities.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness in emergency areas and other designated departments as instructed.
• Immediately report spills, hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of housekeeping materials and equipment.
• Follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Perform other housekeeping duties assigned by the supervisor or hospital management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum qualification: 10th pass preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital or healthcare facility is an advantage.
• Freshers willing to learn may apply.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and hygiene practices is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit to perform routine cleaning duties.
• Punctual, disciplined, and responsible.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
