Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of all surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper manual handling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing janitorial tasks with attention to detail.
• Use safety data sheets (SDS) to handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial scrubbers to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen storage or equipment movement while adhering to proper manual handling procedures.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial/industrial cleaning roles with a focus on sanitation and floor care.
• Strong knowledge of chemical handling, including the use of cleaning agents and understanding SDS guidelines for safe usage.
• Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and janitorial tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all guests and staff.
• Experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable; knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices is a plus.

Pay: From $22.38 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35.0 per week
