Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and surface sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper manual handling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces through regular floor care and janitorial practices.
• Use safety data sheets (SDS) to handle chemical agents safely and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all cleaning processes.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation standards.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Adhere to hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times during cleaning activities.

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and floor care products.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS guidelines.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and procedures is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during linen transport or equipment operation.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures ensures preparedness for any situation requiring quick response or safety measures.
