Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling.
• Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring a spotless appearance.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively for floor care and industrial cleaning tasks.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to ensure consistent quality standards and proper sanitation practices.
• Handle custodial responsibilities with care during manual handling activities like heavy lifting of furniture or equipment.
• Adhere strictly to hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning techniques enhances performance.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards, floor care methods, vacuuming techniques, and the use of cleaning equipment is essential.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS guidelines is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills to address guest needs courteously while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in fast-paced environments requiring manual handling skills.

Pay: $22.70 - $27.33 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
