Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling.
• Maintain high standards of floor care through sweeping, mopping, and specialized floor cleaning techniques to ensure spotless surfaces in all areas.
• Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively to perform industrial cleaning tasks in public spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
• Manage custodial supplies inventory, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment of cleaning materials.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial work is preferred; familiarity with hospitality industry standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical agent handling is essential.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of linens or cleaning equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals used in cleaning processes.
• Experience with vacuuming, industrial cleaning tools, and custodial equipment is desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to hotel emergency procedures diligently.
