Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Use appropriate chemical agents safely while cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and public spaces in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
• Maintain sanitation of floors through sweeping, mopping, and specialized floor care techniques to ensure a pristine environment.
• Operate janitorial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and steam cleaners with proper manual handling techniques.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to ensure consistency in service quality and adherence to safety procedures during heavy lifting or industrial cleaning tasks.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to housekeeping services with excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning processes.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks; familiarity with chemical handling protocols is essential.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling of laundry loads, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards, hotel emergency procedures, and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, or steam cleaners is preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience will be considered advantageous.

Pay: From $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
