Job Overview

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and guest clothing
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by utilizing janitorial experience and industrial cleaning techniques
• Safely handle chemical agents following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to ensure proper chemical handling and sanitation standards are met
• Use cleaning equipment effectively for tasks like vacuuming, floor cleaning, and surface disinfection to uphold hotel housekeeping standards
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while adhering to manual handling safety procedures
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality settings is preferred
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely with understanding of SDS guidelines
• Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with laundry and cleaning supplies
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners is advantageous
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
