Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct floor care activities including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and buffing to maintain pristine surfaces.
• Manage laundry duties such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and guest clothing with precision and care.
• Ensure sanitation standards are met by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and adhering to hotel emergency procedures when necessary.
• Use janitorial equipment effectively for cleaning tasks while practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repetitive motions.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or laundry services.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and floor care products.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety data sheets (SDS).
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is an advantage.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
