Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health and safety standards are met
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Use cleaning equipment and detergents effectively to clean floors, carpets, surfaces, and fixtures
• Maintain organization of cleaning supplies and equipment for efficient workflow
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or equipment with proper technique
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and address any special requests
• Conduct outdoor work when necessary, including patio or yard cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Follow time management practices to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
• Uphold high standards of hygiene by adhering to janitorial and custodial procedures consistently

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation protocols
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and appropriate use of cleaning equipment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Experience in outdoor work environments is a plus
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the shift
• Previous housekeeping management experience is beneficial but not required
• Valid knowledge of cleaning procedures including dusting, floor cleaning, surface sanitation, and janitorial standards
