Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeping Aide to join our healthcare or hospitality team. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, hallways, restrooms, and administrative spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms according to facility procedures.
• Safely handle chemical agents used for cleaning and sanitation in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and safety protocols.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment.
• Utilize proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning equipment or supplies to prevent injury.
• Follow strict infection prevention and control procedures specific to healthcare facilities or hospitality environments.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and sanitation schedules as required by environmental services standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols including OSHA regulations for chemical handling, safe lifting practices, and environmental safety measures.
• Respond promptly to requests from staff or management for additional cleaning or sanitation needs while providing excellent customer service.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention practices and sanitation standards is advantageous.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, or steam cleaners is desirable.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling and workplace safety is essential.
• Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting techniques.
• Previous experience working in hospital or healthcare environments demonstrates understanding of specialized cleaning requirements.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and visitors while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
