Housekeeping - Assistant Supervisor

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor
• Assist in training new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness and quality standards
• Support the scheduling and delegation of tasks to ensure all areas are serviced promptly and thoroughly
• Address guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping with professionalism and urgency
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages
• Promote a positive team environment by motivating staff, recognizing achievements, and fostering open communication

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
• Prior experience in hospitality or hotel environments is highly preferred

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
