Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents.
• Implement proper sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met consistently across all areas.
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques.
• Use manual handling skills to lift heavy furniture or equipment safely while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or porch cleaning when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address specific cleaning needs or concerns, ensuring a positive customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or janitorial cleaning roles with knowledge of custodial procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, equipment, and detergents used in various cleaning tasks.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks with care.
• Experience in outdoor work environments is a plus.
• Excellent client communication skills to understand and meet customer expectations.
• Knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques and floor maintenance is desirable.
• Previous housekeeping management or supervisory experience is advantageous but not required.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
