Housekeeping Attendant

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation across various areas such as bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing to preserve a pristine appearance.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment safely and effectively.
• Use janitorial and custodial experience to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and carpet extractors.
• Communicate professionally with clients or residents to address specific cleaning needs or concerns while ensuring excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning and floor care maintenance.
• Familiarity with the use of various cleaning surfaces and equipment along with proper handling of cleaning detergents.
• Ability to perform outdoor work when necessary for exterior space maintenance or outdoor cleaning tasks.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients or residents and understand their specific needs.
