Job Overview

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas according to established standards.
• Change linens, make beds, and replenish supplies to ensure comfort and cleanliness.
• Operate laundry equipment efficiently to wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and guest clothing.
• Maintain cleanliness in laundry rooms and storage areas, ensuring all equipment is properly cared for.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow health and safety protocols consistently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or requested by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
• Clear understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
• A positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities and role may include:

• Maintaining our high standard of hygiene in rooms, common and laundry areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices.
• Your role may include being allocated to laundry areas, cleaning, assisting in the kitchen or helping at mealtimes. Your role will be key to personal care of the residents, helping to improve their day to day lives.
• Ensuring that all areas are attended to and provide assistance especially during busy periods - meal times, as well as in the morning and the evening.
• Be able to plan and organise your own schedule alongside others.
• Must be a hard-working team player.
• Understands infection control and hygiene standards.
• Your role will be key to ensuring that residents are safe to live in a clean and infection free environment.
• You must have high standards of cleanliness.
• Experience in the health care and business industry.
• Key Involvement in care, care planning and quality improvement.

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
