Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of all surfaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors to maintain a spotless environment.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established standards to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
• Use specialized cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and janitorial tools to enhance cleaning effectiveness.
• Manage the proper storage and handling of cleaning detergents and chemicals, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Conduct outdoor work as needed, including patio or garden area cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as scheduling, inventory control of cleaning supplies, and quality checks.
• Practice manual handling techniques for heavy lifting or moving furniture safely without injury.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes using strong time management skills.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential or commercial housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services.
• Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation standards.
• Hands-on experience with various cleaning equipment and tools used in professional housekeeping environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients or residents.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior areas or outdoor surfaces.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
• Prior experience in housekeeping management or supervising team members is advantageous but not required.
