Job Summary

Theodore House operates the residential and conference facilities belonging to the Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst charity, serving the charity’s own events and commercial bookings by third parties. Theodore House offers retreat, meeting and conference facilities, as well as ad hoc bed and breakfast accommodation.

The company is looking for an energetic, hardworking and reliable Housekeeper, reporting to the Kitchen Manager. The housekeeper will be part of a small, enthusiastic housekeeping team who maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout. It is important that the candidate is a team player, can work to deadlines, and is used to interacting with the general public in a pleasant manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Change linens, make beds, replenish amenities, and ensure all furnishings are maintained to brand standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
• Follow established safety and sanitation procedures to promote a healthy environment for guests and staff.
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold property standards.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans during scheduled times to maintain overall property presentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and uphold a positive guest experience.
• To assist with service of buffet breakfast and other meals in the dining room, and kitchen cleaning duties, when required.

Experience

• Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated janitorial experience or expertise in cleaning services is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a hospitality setting.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Own transport is desirable due to location.

Pay: £14.15 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
