Duties

• Perform comprehensive floor cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Utilize specialized cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaners to restore and enhance flooring surfaces.
• Handle and apply various floor cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, ensuring proper dilution and usage according to manufacturer instructions.
• Conduct floor refinishing activities such as waxing, buffing, and polishing to preserve the longevity and appearance of different flooring types.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment during cleaning or maintenance activities while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and maintenance activities for quality assurance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to specific cleaning requests or concerns from staff or guests.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or environmental services experience with a focus on commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with handling floor care chemicals safely and knowledge of proper manual handling practices.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, vacuums, and carpet extractors.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to chemical agents and manual handling procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
