Housekeeping Inspector

Key Responsibilities

• • Room Inspections: Audit guest rooms, suites, and common areas against brand or property standards.

  • System Updates: Update the property management system to mark rooms as clean, inspected, and ready for check-in.

  • Maintenance Reporting: Identify broken items, write work orders, and report repair needs to the engineering or maintenance team.

  • Staff Support & Training: Help train new room attendants, monitor team performance, and assign daily cleaning tasks.

  • Inventory Control: Restock linen closets, track supplies, and manage lost-and-found items.

  • Hands-on Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning duties or step in as a room attendant when staffing is low.

Qualifications & Skills

• • Experience: Usually, 1 to 2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping or cleaning operations.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor flaws in dusting, staging, and sanitation.

  • Communication: Good verbal skills to give constructive feedback to staff and coordinate with the front desk.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods while inspecting numerous rooms daily.
