Housekeeping Inspector

Location: Suffolk, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Open availability required including weekends and holidays. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory unless time off has been requested and approved in advance.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Housekeeping Inspector to join our hospitality team in Chesapeake. This position plays a critical role in maintaining guest room cleanliness standards, ensuring brand compliance, and supporting overall housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in presentation, works well under pressure, and understands the importance of delivering a clean and welcoming guest experience.

Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required, and Hilton brand experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with Hilton experience may qualify for higher starting pay based on experience and overall qualifications.

This role requires someone who comes in with a positive attitude and an open mind to learn our operational standards, procedures, and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms daily to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met
• Work closely with housekeeping room attendants to address deficiencies and retrain when necessary
• Maintain inspection logs and communicate room status updates accurately
• Assist with cleaning rooms as operational needs require
• Be responsible for completing a partial housekeeping board daily, with additional rooms assigned when occupancy or staffing needs demand
• Ensure public areas and back-of-house spaces remain clean and organized
• Report maintenance concerns and out-of-order items promptly
• Support laundry and housekeeping operations when necessary
• Assist leadership with quality assurance and overall housekeeping flow
• Help maintain a positive and productive team environment

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
• Hilton brand experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to provide constructive feedback professionally
• Open-minded attitude and willingness to learn operational procedures
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
• Weekend and holiday availability required unless approved time off has been submitted in advance
