About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Manager to join CHAO SHAN 1975 SEAFOOD (K) SDN BHD in Kempas, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across our establishment. As Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee all housekeeping operations, manage a team of cleaning staff, and ensure that our facilities consistently meet and exceed our guests' expectations. This role is integral to delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining our reputation as a premier hospitality venue.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all housekeeping operations, including cleaning, maintenance and organisation of all areas within the establishment
• Supervise, train, schedule and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and established procedures
• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, public spaces and back-of-house facilities to maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols and standard operating procedures that align with hospitality industry best practices
• Address guest complaints or concerns relating to housekeeping services promptly and professionally
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance and maintenance issues
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events, deep cleaning projects and facility upgrades
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations, including food safety standards relevant to the establishment
• Monitor staff performance, conduct evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry, preferably in a food and beverage or restaurant setting
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations, including food safety protocols
• Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and inventory control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with guests, staff and other departments
• Physical stamina and ability to perform housekeeping duties when required
• Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs
• Certification in hospitality management or housekeeping operations is preferred
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Malay) is advantageous
