Housekeeping Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Housekeeping Manager to join our team.

At Bushtown Hotel & Spa, we pride ourselves on providing our guests with high-quality accommodation, excellent facilities and a welcoming environment. We are therefore looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and can lead our housekeeping team to consistently maintain the highest standards throughout the hotel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring guest bedrooms, public areas and staff areas are cleaned, maintained and presented to a high standard at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and support the housekeeping team.
• Organise daily workloads, room allocations and cleaning schedules.
• Ensure guest bedrooms and public areas are cleaned and presented to the required hotel standard.
• Maintain and continually improve housekeeping and cleanliness standards throughout the hotel.
• Carry out regular inspections of bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
• Check all areas before, during and at the end of each shift to ensure standards are consistently maintained.
• Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies, linen and cleaning products are appropriately managed and stocked.
• Monitor standards of cleanliness, presentation and attention to detail.
• Ensure all health and safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures are followed correctly.
• Train, support and motivate members of the housekeeping team.
• Assist with staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
• Work closely with Reception and other hotel departments to ensure bedrooms are available and prepared efficiently.
• Deal professionally with any guest requests or housekeeping-related issues.
• Help ensure every guest receives a positive and comfortable experience throughout their stay.

The Person We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor or similar senior housekeeping role.
• Ideally have previous experience within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Have strong leadership and team management skills.
• Be organised, dependable and able to manage a busy workload.
• Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards.
• Be confident supervising and motivating a team.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be approachable, professional and helpful when dealing with both guests and colleagues.
• Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Have a positive, practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Have a good standard of spoken and written English.
• Maintain excellent personal presentation, hygiene and grooming standards.
• Be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a wider hotel team.
• Be flexible with working hours, including weekends and busy periods.
