Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional Housekeeping Manager with Opera Cloud experience to oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and grounds meet or exceed brand cleanliness and service standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and proficiency in digital housekeeping management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily housekeeping services, including room cleaning, linen management, and public area maintenance, using Opera Cloud for scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking
• Team Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff; provide feedback and conduct appraisals
• Quality Control: Conduct daily and periodic inspections of rooms, public areas, and grounds; ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and brand standards
• Budget & Resource Management: Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget; monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, linens, and equipment
• Coordination: Liaise with maintenance, front office, and other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Event & Special Needs Support: Coordinate housekeeping for events, meetings, and special requests
• Reporting & Compliance: Generate reports for management; maintain accurate employee and operational record
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with local vendors for supplies and services

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality, business, or related degree preferred
• Experience: 4–6 years in housekeeping, with 2+ years in supervisory roles; experience with Opera Cloud or similar PMS/housekeeping software is essential
• Certifications: Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH), CRCST, CPR, or equivalent preferred
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and PMS/housekeeping software; ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in branded hotels, resorts, or large-scale hospitality operations.
• Familiarity with GSS cleanliness score systems and performance-based bonuses
• Ability to adapt to evolving operational needs and leverage digital tools for efficiency
