Housekeeping Part Time

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure that our community adheres to strict standards. The days required are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, offices, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Use chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation, following OSHA guidelines and safety protocols to prevent contamination or injury
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a spotless environment
• Maintain proper handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals, adhering to environmental services best practices for safety and efficiency
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture or large supplies as needed
• Document cleaning activities accurately in logs or reports and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare facilities or hospitals is highly preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, manual handling, and safety protocol adherence is essential
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and cleaning equipment operation is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle chemical agents responsibly
• Customer service skills are important for interacting professionally with staff and visitors in a healthcare setting
