Housekeeping (Riser) Staff

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Briefing and Preparation

Receive assignments: Review the daily schedule, room allocation lists, and any special guestrequests or priority tasks.

Stock the cart: Load the housekeeping cart with clean linens, towels, toiletries,cleaning chemicals, and fresh trash bags.

Room Inspection and Pre-Cleaning

Knock and announce: Verify room status by knocking and announcing "Housekeeping"before entering.

Assess the area: Check for any property damage, maintenance issues, or items left behindby previous guests.

Strip the room: Strip dirty bed linens and towels, and gather all trash and recycling.

Deep Cleaning and Sanitization

Dust and wipe: Dust allsurfaces, including furniture, light fixtures, electronics, and window sills.

Sanitize touchpoints: Clean and disinfect high-touch areas likedoorknobs, remote controls, and light switches.

Scrub the bathroom: Thoroughly clean and sanitize the toilet, shower/tub, sink, andmirrors.

Staging and Replenishment

Make the bed: Dressthe bed with crisp, clean sheets, pillowcases, and blankets according tocompany standards.

Restock amenities: Replace used towels and replenish guest supplies like soap, shampoo,coffee, and toilet paper.

Floor Care and Final Touch-ups

Vacuum and mop: Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors, working backward toward the exitdoor so no footprints are left behind.

Final walk-through: Spray a light air freshener, take a final look to ensure everything isperfect, and lock the door.

End-of-Shift Wrap-up

Log completed work: Update the room status in the property management system or on aphysical log sheet.

Unload and restock: Return the housekeeping cart to the supply room, dispose of collectedtrash, and drop off dirty linens at the laundry station.

Requirementsand Skills

Communication: Friendlydemeaner with basic customer service and interpersonal skills.

Time Management: Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Education: Degree in Hotel Management.

Attention to Detail: High standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
