Housekeeping Room Inspector

La Mer Beachfront Resort is looking for a qualified Housekeeping Room Inspector to join their team.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE HOTEL HOUSEKEEPING EXPERIENCE!

Must be available to work a full-time schedule (approx. 40 hours per week). Weekends are required.

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Room Inspector is to inspect the cleanliness and the appearance of guest rooms and public spaces and see that all housekeeping employees carry out their assignments in accordance with established standards.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Handle guest complaints concerning housekeeping service or refer issues to management when needed.
• Notify maintenance of any needed repairs in all guest rooms and public spaces.
• Inspect all rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure that all hotel policies and standards have been met and that the room is ready to be occupied.
• Update the property management system with the proper status of all rooms.
• Ensure that all storage areas and linen closets are kept in clean and satisfactory condition, as well as stocked with needed items.
• Control waste of product and linen and ensures that all products are used in accordance with directions and care.
• Monitor time housekeepers are taking to clean guest rooms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a HOTEL housekeeping position.
• Must be bilingual.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to reach overhead and below the knee; including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time.
• Must have a positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees.
• Must be extremely detailed-oriented and have outstanding communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
