Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Davao. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and guest satisfaction across our facilities. You will be responsible for leading and managing the housekeeping team, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining excellence in all aspects of our cleaning and maintenance services. This position is vital to creating a welcoming and hygienic environment that reflects our commitment to quality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and schedule housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas and facilities to maintain cleanliness and organisation standards
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
• Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly, liaising with maintenance teams when necessary
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests related to housekeeping services in a professional and courteous manner
• Enforce health, safety and hygiene protocols in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations
• Maintain detailed records and reports on housekeeping operations, staff performance and service metrics
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
• Conduct staff training and development programmes to improve skills and performance
• Manage the housekeeping budget and work to control costs whilst maintaining service quality

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols and hygiene standards specific to the hospitality industry
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in training, motivating and managing teams
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and guests
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to challenging situations
• Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and basic computer skills
• Physical ability to perform duties that may include lifting, bending and prolonged standing
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
