Housekeeping Supervisor

THE JOBSCOPE

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Housekeeping team.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet company standards.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned and released within the required timeframe.
• Assign daily duties and monitor staff deployment according to operational requirements.
• Conduct room inspections and follow up on any defects or cleanliness issues.
• Ensure housekeeping requests from guests and other departments are attended to promptly.
• Maintain proper inventory and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the Front Office team regarding room status, early check-ins, late check-outs, and special guest requests.
• Report maintenance issues and follow up with the Engineering team for necessary repairs.
• Ensure proper handling and recording of lost and found items.
• Ensure all housekeeping procedures, safety standards, and hygiene requirements are followed.
• Monitor the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with stocktaking and control of housekeeping supplies and operating equipment.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints related to housekeeping professionally and promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping operations are carried out efficiently while controlling costs and minimising wastage.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in Housekeeping, preferably in a hotel, serviced residence, or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Room Attendant is preferred.
• Good knowledge of room cleaning, housekeeping standards, hygiene, and cleaning procedures.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain service standards.
• Able to handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Able to support operational duties when required.
