Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring our guest rooms and public areas are consistently clean, well-presented and maintained to the highest standards. You will supervise and support the housekeeping team, coordinate daily workloads and ensure the department operates efficiently. This is a permanent full-time position with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support Room Attendants
• Allocate daily duties and room assignments to ensure an efficient workflow
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation and brand standards are met
• Train, coach and provide feedback to team members to maintain high standards
• Onboarding and training of new staff
• Monitor attendance, timekeeping and staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage
• Communicate closely with Front Office and other departments regarding room status, guest requests and operational requirements
• Monitor linen, cleaning supplies and equipment and report shortages or maintenance requirements
• Ensure health and safety procedures and safe working practices are followed
• Respond to and assist with resolving guest concerns relating to housekeeping in a professional and timely manner

About you

• At least 1 year's housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, preferably with supervisory experience
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Professional presentation and a strong focus on guest satisfaction
• The ability to remain calm, organised and hands-on in a busy hotel environment
