Housekeeping Supervisor

Welcome to the new Hilton Homewood Suites Hotel

We are seeking an experienced housekeeping professional to fill our Housekeeping Supervisor position. The supervisor is a working crew chief who works alongside the housekeeping team, cleaning and inspecting guest rooms. To be successful in this role, you will need proven skills and the ability to build, develop, and lead a stable, hard working team of room attendants who are able to provide consistent quality in their job performance. Pay is based on experience, with special preference given to candidates with Hilton hotel experience.

Responsibilities

• Train housekeepers on Hilton's brand standards for guest room cleaning
• Ensures that the housekeeping department consistently delivers quality by overseeing staff performance and productivity on a daily basis.
• Inspects and ensures that rooms are clean and ready for occupancy
• Completes department staff schedule, daily room cleaning assignments, and arranges for replacements in cases of staff call-offs
• Keeps team motivated and focused on the task at hand, and quickly resolves any issues that occur within the department
• Responds to customer complaints and special requests as needed
• Maintains the departments inventory of guest room supplies, cleaning supplies, and submits purchase orders for re-stocking to management.
• Coordinates deep cleaning schedule as required
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
• Performs as a working crew chief and works alongside room attendants, assisting with cleaning in guest rooms.
• Ensures that proper inspection of all guest rooms and common areas occurs before staff complete their shifts, and when necessary directs staff to correct deficiencies in affected guest rooms or areas.

Skills

• Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Leadership ability. Able to consistently build and lead a team who understands and effectuates the brands quality and service standards.
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks and the ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Knowledge of OSHA procedures
• Safety and security awareness
• Physical stamina to handle the physical demands of the job which include continuous and repetitive walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the course of the shift
• Flexibility and availability to work various days and weekends.
