Housekeeping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff and daily work assignments.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and other facilities for cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned, prepared, and released on time.
• Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping staff.
• Monitor staff attendance, performance, grooming, and adherence to company policies.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, lost and found items, and other concerns to the appropriate department.
• Maintain adequate supplies, linen, cleaning materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance departments regarding room status and guest requests.
• Handle guest requests and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and daily reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and company standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and safety practices.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
