Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you'll lead the housekeeping team on shift and make sure every suite and public area is presented to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on role: you'll be on the floors with your team, not behind a desk. This is a permanent full-time position of 35 hours per week, rostered across seven days including weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Allocating daily room boards and managing workloads across the team
• Inspecting suites and public areas, and following up until they're right
• Training, coaching and supporting room attendants
• Working with Front Office on room status, early arrivals and guest requests
• Reporting maintenance issues and following them through to completion
• Managing linen, guest supplies and chemical stock
• Handling lost property and guest feedback professionally
• Keeping health and safety front of mind for you and your team

About you

• Experience as a housekeeping supervisor or senior room attendant in a hotel or serviced apartments
• A sharp eye for detail and pride in a well-presented room
• The confidence to lead a diverse team fairly and calmly
• Good communication skills and a guest-first attitude
• Comfort using a property management system (we use Mews)
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster
• The legal right to work in New Zealand
