Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness, safety standards, and adherence to brand policies
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
• Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational flow
• Address guest requests or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience and resolving issues effectively
• Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels based on occupancy rates and operational needs
• Enforce health and safety regulations related to janitorial practices, industrial cleaning, and equipment use

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial supervision within hospitality environments
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and industrial cleaning methods
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
• Familiarity with janitorial equipment, safety procedures, and quality control standards
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and guests in a professional manner
• Prior experience in hospitality or hotel settings is highly desirable
