Purpose of Position:

The Housekeeper exists to provide exceptional facility cleanliness, operational readiness, and event support by maintaining Broadmoor's campus in a safe, clean, welcoming, and ministry-ready condition.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeper is an essential member of the Operations team, maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and operational readiness of Broadmoor's facilities. This position performs daily cleaning services, supports room setups and event transitions, monitors campus conditions throughout the day, and helps ensure ministry spaces remain safe, welcoming, and prepared for worship services, meetings, and special events. Through consistent execution and attention to detail, the Housekeeper helps create an environment that supports Broadmoor's mission and ministry.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Maintain cleanliness throughout Broadmoor's campus, including the Center for Hope and Healing and the missionary house.

· Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, hallways, entrances, and common areas.

· Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors and surfaces throughout assigned areas.

· Clean glass, mirrors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces.

· Empty trash containers and replenish restroom and custodial supplies.

· Perform routine facility inspections to identify cleanliness, safety, or maintenance concerns.

· Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or facility concerns to the Operations Manager.

· Set up and tear down tables, chairs, staging, and equipment for worship services, meetings, weddings, funerals, and ministry events.

· Restore rooms to standard layouts following events.

· Assist with seasonal decorating, special events, and ministry support activities.

· Maintain cleanliness throughout the day by responding promptly to spills, accidents, and unexpected facility needs.

· Safely operate custodial equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, extractors, and related equipment.

· Follow all chemical handling procedures and safety guidelines.

· Maintain organized custodial closets and assist in monitoring cleaning supply inventory.

· Build positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, ministry leaders, members, guests, contractors, and vendors.

· Ability to safely operate custodial equipment and use cleaning chemicals.

· This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, and holidays as ministry needs require.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders, and reach overhead throughout the workday.

· Ability to operate custodial equipment safely.

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.

· Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Pay: $14.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
