Housekeeping Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeping Worker to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across healthcare facilities or commercial environments. In this vital role, you will ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment by performing cleaning, sanitation, laundry, and floor care tasks. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas to support infection prevention and control measures
• Operate cleaning machinery such as , vacuums, and carpet cleaners with proper technique for optimal results
• Adhere to environmental services guidelines to minimize chemical exposure and promote eco-friendly practices
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or heavy equipment as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff or patient requests for cleaning or sanitation assistance

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, safety procedures, and environmental services best practices
• Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control protocols is a strong advantage
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of sanitation
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
