Our skilled nursing facility Stuart Rehabilitation and Healthcare is currently recruiting Housekeeping/Laundry Aides to perform daily housekeeping duties to include common area cleaning, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, general room cleaning. Laundry duties to include picking up and delivering laundry, sorting/washing/folding laundry. As a valued member of our team, you will help create a safe, comfortable, and pleasant living environment for our residents while supporting the daily housekeeping and laundry needs of our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces
• Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident linens and personal laundry
• Maintain housekeeping and laundry equipment in a clean and safe condition
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Assist with facility cleanliness and presentation standards
• Report maintenance, safety, or resident concerns to supervisors

Qualifications:

• MUST be able to pass a level II background check
• Experience working as part of a housekeeping/laundry department in a hospital or nursing home setting.
• Must be able to follow directions and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
• Able to operate industrial washer and dryers, labeling and dispensing machines.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and accustomed to working as part of a team to accomplish the goals of the department.
• Must be able to comply with a work schedule that includes every other weekend.
• Preferred Skilled Nursing Facility experience
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry laundry and housekeeping supplies
• This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
