In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our hotel environment. Your proactive approach will ensure that public areas, guest rooms (when needed), and back-of-house spaces are spotless, sanitized, and welcoming. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality setting while honing your cleaning and custodial skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Saturday and Sunday is a must! Do not apply if you do not want to work weekends.
• Perform thorough floor cleaning and care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain pristine surfaces across all hotel areas
• Handle cleaning tasks with precision, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting public spaces and guest corridors
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by adhering to hotel housekeeping management procedures and industry best practices
• Support janitorial and custodial tasks to ensure all areas meet health standards and hotel emergency procedures are followed when necessary
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to cleanliness or facility needs

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience within a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation standards, and cleaning equipment operation
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and safety procedures including chemical handling and SDS compliance
• Experience in hospitality settings or hotel housekeeping roles is advantageous
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures ensures safety for both guests and staff

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
