Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Houseman for the overnight shift from 11pm to 7 am to ensure our hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a welcoming environment by performing cleaning, sanitation, and custodial duties during the quiet overnight hours, supporting our housekeeping team and maintaining hotel excellence.

Duties

• Perform floor cleaning, vacuuming, and detailed sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for chemical handling and storage.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations.
• Maintain cleanliness standards through routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, and surface disinfection.
• Support hotel emergency procedures by ensuring safety protocols are followed during all cleaning activities.
• Use cleaning equipment efficiently while following safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest needs or inquiries promptly and professionally.

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or hotel environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and safe handling of chemical agents is essential.
• Experience with hotel housekeeping management or custodial duties will be advantageous.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards in a hospitality setting.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
