Houseman (Temporary)

About the role

Support room attendants to handle linen, supplies, cleaning etc. as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Remove rubbish from the service areas and clean the garbage bins
• Request room supplies from the storeroom to restock the service pantry
• Count used linens and deliver to the Laundry section. Pick up clean linens from the Linen room send in pantry maid
• Assist Room Attendants to set up an extra bed, baby cot and moving furniture upon request
• Handle guest complaints if possible, or report them to supervisors
• Clean guest corridor as assigned
• Clean service pantries and areas in front of service lift
• Pick up Flowers from the florist Room for the guest rooms
• Sweep down the fire exits stair on guest floors
• Clean elevator thresholds and door for guest floors

About you

• Diploma plus technical certificate or above in related field
• 1 years experience in similar position
• Ability to understand, read, and write English
• Ability to read and write
• Positive approach to customer service
• Able to handle physically demanding workload
• Well organized (desirable)
• Proven track record in hotel of similar standard in similar capacity (desirable)
• Be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language
