Houseman/Laundry

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman/ Laundry attendant to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest areas, service spaces, and public areas. Also responsible for maintaining the laundry room, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and fully stocked, while keeping all linens properly washed, folded, and ready for use. Your proactive approach will ensure a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, supporting the smooth operation of our facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to exceptional guest experiences through diligent custodial care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of hallways, lobbies, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing specialized floor care as needed to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal
• Assist with hotel setup and breakdown for events or functions, including moving furniture and supplies
• Support housekeeping staff with supply replenishment and organizing storage areas to promote efficiency
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained in accordance with safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections of common areas to identify maintenance or cleanliness issues and report them promptly
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards consistently to uphold guest satisfaction and regulatory compliance
• Must be okay with working weekends

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
• Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality environments is highly desirable
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies management
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively
