Responsibilities

• Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Handle various chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Perform floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the hotel.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, organizing linen carts, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation standards.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks when necessary, including moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or maintenance activities.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and effectively in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, sanitation checks, and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in floor cleaning, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments within hotels or similar settings.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and hotel housekeeping management standards.
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment efficiently and safely while managing chemical agents responsibly.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, vacuuming, and moving supplies or furniture.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and guests.
• Prior custodial or housekeeping management experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
