Housing Support Worker

To provide housing-related support to vulnerable individuals and tenants, helping them maintain stable accommodation, improve independent living skills, and access appropriate services and support within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a minimum of 1 hour weekly support to allocated service users through one-to-one sessions.
• Complete support plans, risk assessments, and regular reviews with service users.
• Assist new tenants with sign-ups, tenancy agreements, and moving into accommodation.
• Support tenants to understand and maintain their tenancy responsibilities.
• Help service users access benefits, healthcare, education, employment, and other community services.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes and support records.
• Carry out welfare checks and monitor the wellbeing and safety of tenants.
• Support service users with budgeting, independent living skills, and daily living tasks where required.
• Liaise with landlords, housing officers, social workers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and follow organisational policies and procedures.
• Encourage service users to achieve personal goals and promote independence.
• Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, and training as required.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
