HR Advisor

About the Role

Are you a seasoned HR Advisor looking for your next fast-paced contract in Wellington? We are seeking an adaptable, operational HR professional to join a supportive team environment. You will deliver pragmatic, end-to-end People & Culture support and act as a trusted operational partner to people managers across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely advice on employee relations, performance management, and employment agreements.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment support, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Support managers with employment policy interpretation and best-practice guidance.
• Maintain employee records, HRIS data integrity, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Assist with HR projects and reporting as required.

What You Bring

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a generalist HR Advisor or senior HR Coordinator role (public sector experience is a plus).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and standard ER processes.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders.
• Adaptability: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude in a dynamic environment.
