HR Advisor

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and collaborative People team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a true generalist role where you'll partner closely with managers and employees across a wide range of HR activities. From employee relations and performance conversations through to recruitment, onboarding, change initiatives and people projects, you'll be a trusted advisor helping leaders navigate the day-to-day people challenges that come with running a successful business.

You'll be part of a supportive team but equally comfortable working autonomously, building strong relationships across the business and providing practical, commercially focused HR advice.

What you'll be doing

• Providing HR advice and support to managers across the employee lifecycle
• Supporting employee relations matters and performance management processes
• Assisting with recruitment and onboarding activities, including managing recruitment processes when required
• Supporting HR initiatives, projects and continuous improvement activities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating as a HR Advisor
• Strong employee relations capability with the confidence to coach and influence leaders
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
• Excellent relationship-building skills and the confidence to work autonomously
