HR Advisor

Successful Australian-owned FMCG and manufacturing business with an established portfolio of recognised consumer brands is seeking an experienced permanent Part-Time HR Advisor /Manager to oversee HR function across manufacturing, warehousing and corporate operations.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to take ownership of an established HR function, supporting approximately 70 permanent employees alongside casual and labour hire personnel across multiple locations.

Based predominantly at the company's Richlands facility, the role will work closely with operational managers and senior leadership to manage employee relations, workplace compliance, performance management and day-to-day HR requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day HR operations across manufacturing, warehousing and corporate functions.
• Provide practical advice and support to managers on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts and employee exits.
• Manage employee grievances, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations and performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards and relevant employment obligations.
• Coordinate employee performance reviews, remuneration reviews and employment documentation.
• Maintain and improve existing HR policies, procedures and systems.
• Support workforce planning, employment structures and labour hire arrangements.
• Work closely with payroll, finance and workplace health and safety teams on employee-related matters.
• Provide commercially focused HR advice to senior management and operational leaders.

About You

• Proven experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Business Partner or experienced HR Generalist.
• Ideally 8+ years of HR experience, with a strong background in operational HR.
• Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production, logistics or a similar blue-collar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and Fair Work requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, grievances, performance management and workplace investigations.
• The ability to work autonomously and confidently advise senior management on complex HR matters.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to engage effectively with both production employees and management.
• Experience maintaining and improving established HR policies, procedures and systems.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A commercially minded approach with the ability to balance employee requirements and business objectives.
• Experience with UKG or similar HR and payroll systems would be advantageous.
