What they need
HR Advisor — King Street (Kraft Heinz)
About the team
Our HR team supports leaders and employees across the King Street site, helping create a safe, respectful, high-performing workplace. We partner closely with our Senior HR Business Partner (Hawke’s Bay), Payroll, and our Global Business Services (GBS) team to deliver a great employee experience and strong HR foundations.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor provides practical, best-practice support across day-to-day HR processes and people initiatives at the King Street site. You’ll be a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, coaching leaders through people matters, supporting consistent use of policies and procedures, and helping drive engagement across the site.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day HR enquiries, providing timely, practical advice
- Coach and support managers and employees to apply HR policies and procedures fairly and consistently
- Support people processes as needed (performance management, sickness absence, disciplinary matters, and grievances)
- Deliver site HR inductions for new employees and support a smooth start
- Partner with Payroll to help ensure Kronos work codes and schedules are accurate, and support leave/payroll queries (escalating to the HRBP, GBS, or a HR Centre of Excellence when needed)
- Work with Global Business Services (GBS) to manage employee lifecycle administration, including new hire set-up and contract/letter requests (including contract drafting and management)
- Support benefits administration and help resolve HR/Payroll/GBS issues quickly and sensitively
- Uphold Kraft Heinz values and contribute to the site and company vision
Note: Responsibilities may change over time in line with business needs.
What you’ll bring
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Strong written and verbal communication, with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Great organisation and time management, with the ability to meet deadlines and juggle competing priorities
- A positive, practical “can do” approach, with confidence working with people at all levels
- Experience using Workday or another HR information system (HRIS)
- Experience supporting employee relations processes (e.g., performance, absence, disciplinary, grievances) in a coached/support role
What we offer
- A hands-on HR generalist role with real variety across the employee lifecycle
- Close partnership and support from the Senior HR Business Partner and broader HR network
- Exposure to global HR processes and shared services (GBS), building strong end-to-end HR capability
- Opportunities to grow your HR career in a values-led, well-known FMCG organisation
