What they need

About TEFY

TEFY is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing support in business management, HR and recruitment, finance and GST, marketing, stock-market education, and real-estate services. We focus on practical solutions that help individuals and businesses make better decisions and improve their operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for 5 proactive, organised, and enthusiastic interns to support TEFYs HR and training activities. The role involves conducting training sessions, developing HR policy drafts, coordinating recruitment, supporting background verification, and maintaining HR processes and documentation.

Interns will receive primary responsibilities based on their strengths while working together across different HR functions. Assignments may support TEFY’s internal requirements and client projects under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Training and Development

Plan, prepare, and conduct training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programmes on approved topics within your area of competence. Identify training needs, develop presentations and learning materials, prepare practical exercises and assessments, and maintain training calendars. Collect participant feedback and track attendance and learning outcomes to improve future sessions.

  1. HR Policy Development and Documentation

Research and draft HR policies, employee handbooks, standard operating procedures, and HR templates. Areas may include attendance, leave, onboarding, workplace conduct, performance reviews, grievance reporting, confidentiality, and exit procedures. Maintain organised, version-controlled documents and submit all drafts for management review before implementation.

  1. Recruitment and Candidate Coordination

Prepare job descriptions, publish approved vacancies, source candidates, screen applications, and conduct preliminary screening conversations. Coordinate interviews, follow up with candidates, maintain recruitment trackers, and document interview feedback. Support the preparation of approved selection communications, offer documentation, and onboarding checklists.

  1. Background Verification and Reference Checks

Coordinate candidate-authorised education, employment, and professional reference checks using approved procedures. Follow up on required documents, record verification status, and prepare factual summaries of findings. Escalate discrepancies to the designated supervisor rather than making independent hiring decisions. Handle candidate information confidentially and access only the information required for the assigned task.

  1. HR Operations and Employee Engagement

Maintain employee and intern records, attendance trackers, onboarding documents, and task reports. Assist with induction, engagement activities, feedback collection, performance-review coordination, and exit formalities. Respond to routine HR queries using approved guidance and identify opportunities to improve documentation and administrative processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Students pursuing, or recent graduates in, HR, business administration, commerce, psychology, or a related discipline. Candidates from other fields with a strong interest in HR and training are also welcome.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present information and interact professionally with candidates and training participants.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent Google Workspace tools.
  • Good organisation, attention to detail, research ability, discretion, and the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.

Preferred, but not mandatory: Experience in college placement activities, event coordination, teaching, presentations, recruitment, content development, or student leadership.
