HR & HC Drivers required

About the role

MMM Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking experienced HR & HC Drivers to join our growing team on a full-time basis. We require HR and HC drivers in Shanes Park, NSW 2747, this role is fundamental to our operations within the road transport and logistics sector. As an HR & HC Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring compliance with all relevant transport regulations and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This position offers the opportunity to be a key contributor to our company's success in delivering reliable transport solutions.

We also require some HR drivers to be based at Eastern Creek NSW. This work involves delivering to Regional NSW, which includes some multi-day deliveries and overnight staysin Regional NSW.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate heavy rigid (HR) and heavy combination (HC) vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all road transport regulations
2. Drivers MUST be able to drive a Manual Gearbox. Holding an Unrestricticed Licence.
3. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes whilst maintaining strict adherence to scheduling and delivery timelines
4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements
5. Maintain detailed and accurate logbooks, including hours of work, distances travelled and fuel consumption records
6. Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing and compliance with weight distribution requirements
7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
8. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies and workplace health and safety standards
9. Maintain a professional demeanour and represent MMM Contracting positively to clients and the public

What we're looking for

1. Valid HR and HC driving licences (or equivalent) with current medical certification
2. Proven experience operating heavy vehicles in the road transport or logistics industry, with an Unrestricted Licence.
3. Full knowledge and understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Laws (NHVL) and fatigue management requirements
4. Clean driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices
5. Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading duties as required
9. Reliability and punctuality in attendance and task completion
10. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (preferred)
