HR & Operation Manager

About the role

We are looking for a responsible, proactive and well-organised HR & Operations Manager to oversee human resources functions and support the daily operations of our company. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage employees, maintain workplace discipline and improve operational efficiency. This position requires someone who can work independently, take initiative and assist management in ensuring smooth business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, interviews, onboarding and employee records
• Handle employee attendance, leave, payroll preparation, overtime and allowances
• Prepare employment contracts, warning letters and other HR-related documents
• Monitor employee discipline, attendance and workplace behaviour
• Handle employee concerns, workplace conflicts and disciplinary matters professionally
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and company policies
• Oversee daily operations and monitor employee work performance
• Ensure employees complete assigned tasks accurately and on time
• Coordinate workflow and communication between departments
• Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions

About you

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HR, administration or operations management
• Previous experience in staff supervision or team management is preferred
• Good understanding of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Responsible, organised, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience in retail, e-commerce or SME operations will be an added advantage
