HR Apprentice – Level 3 CIPD

We are looking for for a motivated and capable individual to join our team as a HR Apprentice, supporting a diverse workforce of approximately 700 employees across our cleaning and facilities operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in Human Resources and gain valuable, practical experience alongside completing a Level 3 CIPD qualification.

Working within a fast-paced and varied organisation, you will gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities and develop a strong understanding of how an HR function operates within a large, operational workforce.

The Role

The HR Apprentice will provide day-to-day support to the HR function, with particular responsibility for the administration and effective operation of our HR systems, alongside supporting recruitment and wider HR activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day management and administration of HR systems
• Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
• Supporting recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, candidate communication and interview coordination
• Assisting with new starter and onboarding processes
• Responding professionally to telephone and email enquiries from employees and managers
• Preparing HR correspondence and documentation
• Producing reports and maintaining HR data
• Supporting compliance and right-to-work processes
• Assisting with general HR administration
• Providing support across wider HR activities and projects as your knowledge and experience develop

The role will provide significant exposure to the practical application of HR within a busy organisation, allowing the successful candidate to develop their responsibilities as they progress.

About You

Previous HR experience is not required, as full training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, aptitude and genuine interest in developing a career within HR.

The successful candidate will be:

• Confident and professional when communicating with employees, managers and candidates
• Comfortable handling telephone calls and responding to queries
• IT confident, with the ability to learn and navigate different systems
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Discreet and professional when handling confidential information
• Proactive, dependable and willing to take responsibility
• Keen to learn and develop within the HR profession

Training and Development

You will work towards your Level 3 CIPD qualification, supported by both your apprenticeship provider and our internal HR team.

We are committed to providing meaningful practical experience alongside your formal studies. With a workforce of approximately 700 employees operating across multiple contracts and locations, you will have the opportunity to experience a particularly varied HR environment.

As your knowledge and confidence develop, you will be encouraged to take on greater responsibility and gain exposure to areas including recruitment, employee relations, HR systems, compliance, onboarding and HR projects.
