We're looking for an HR Assistant to join our HR team and take ownership of the day-to-day HR administration across the organisation. This is a varied role where you'll not only keep employee records and HR processes running efficiently, but also have the freedom to suggest and implement improvements.
The Role
As our HR Assistant, you'll play an important part in delivering a professional and approachable HR service. You'll work alongside an HR Officer and HR Manager, while also having regular contact with colleagues at our international locations.
You'll be trusted to manage your own responsibilities and encouraged to look for smarter and more efficient ways of working.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing HR administration for new starters, employee changes and leavers
- Preparing employment contracts, letters and other HR communications
- Maintaining accurate employee information within the Polaris HR system
- Acting as a first point of contact for employees with HR administration queries
- Supporting questions relating to employment conditions, insurance and internal arrangements
- Preparing payroll changes for the Payroll Administrator
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date digital employee records
- Producing HR reports when required
- Organising technical and safety training for employees
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes
- Supporting colleagues across both local and international locations
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in accuracy and can confidently manage their own workload.
Ideally, you will have:
- A relevant vocational or administrative qualification
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- An interest in HR and people administration
- A structured, accurate and results-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- A professional approach to handling confidential employee information
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive mindset and willingness to suggest improvements
- A helpful, approachable attitude when supporting colleagues
Why Join Us?
This isn't simply a role where you'll be expected to follow established processes. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of HR administration and help us make it even better.
You'll join a supportive HR team, work with colleagues internationally and have the freedom to suggest new ways of working that make HR processes simpler, smarter and more efficient.
